At the end of this month, it will finally be here. The day that all of the Dutch shoppers have been waiting for. And not only in the Netherlands are we excited about it, in the rest of the world people are also saving their money for that one special day: Black Friday .

This new Dutch tradition has come over from the US. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, the day that is not celebrated here. Most Americans have a day off on this Friday. On that day off, people traditionally start shopping for the next holiday, Christmas. Despite the fact that we do not celebrate the holiday Thanksgiving here at all, the commercial interests of Black Friday are very big for the retail chains and brands in the Netherlands. Just like days like Valentine's Day and Halloween, many companies know how to profit from this and therefore pay attention to it. We Dutch people are crazy about offers and therefore embrace Black Friday en masse. A day full of absurd offers. Most Brands and stores join in the madness of that day and offer their merchandise for shockingly low prices. So low that you have to be quick to enjoy the bargains. Because gone = gone! A tip from our side: make a list of the items you want to buy on that day and determine the sites where you would like to buy them. That will save you a lot of time on Black Friday itself and gives you the best chance of successful purchases.

And while you're at it, put that list ARMBND.com then also on it. Because on that day we will also join in. We are not saying yet what we will offer, just come and have a look Black Friday. Because we can't stay behind either.
